Eleanor started practicing Ashtanga yoga in 2009 and valued the sense of empowerment and calm that resulted from it so much, that she decided to learn more in India two years on. For seven years Eleanor has been teaching full-time and has trained with some of the world’s most esteemed Ashtanga teachers.
Due to personal illness in 2012 which impeded speech, balance and energy, Eleanor then turned towards Yin Yoga to embrace the softer side of practice that felt deeply therapeutic and grounding. Having studied and trained with the founders of Yin Yoga, Paul and Suzie Grilley, Eleanor continued to expand her knowledge and deepen her awareness in practice; she has been teaching Yin Yoga ever since and practices it in balance with Ashtanga.
Now based in Bristol as a full-time yoga teacher, with further training completed for Anatomy and Physiology, Sports & Remedial Massage and multiple Vipassana Meditation courses under her belt, Eleanor’s enthusiasm to delve deep into the body and mind always has people intrigued to learn more, whilst her sense of humour and verdant inquisitiveness will inspire.
